Bought these to use in my cva 45/70 to smokeless muzzleloader conversion. Accuracy was A+ with 60 grains of h4198 -1″ 100 group. Shot and recovered 2 deer this fall, first at approx 50 yards, the second at 125+ . Both deer dropped within sight with behind the shoulder shots. Terminal performance was awesome, 1.5″ exit lungs heart, destroyed. I like these as they hold together and don’t destroy 1/2 the deer, Like some others I’ve used

Great bullets for smokeless muzzleloaders. Very accurate and they hold together and don’t fragment like some of the softer bullets on the market.

Just shot a 3 1/3-year-old Iowa ten point at 155 yards. Used the 250-grain star ballistic tip .452 bullets with 58 grains of N120 powder and veggie wad. Tipped the deer over on his back with a 2 1/2-inch hole through the heart. Bullet came to rest under the skin after breaking the front leg on the opposite side. Weight of expanded bullet was 198.6 grains.

Awesome accuracy. 1” group at 200 yards. Through a CVA 45-70 smokeless muzzleloader conversion. I was actually surprised as when sized to be able to start them. About 1/2 way down the barrel there is almost no resistance. I think this is an issue with the bore not the bullet. But the accuracy was outstanding using 54 grains of IMR 4227. Now I need a chronograph to really dial in and get my custom dial from Leupold…. Can’t wait to take a whitetail in a couple months!!!
